How To Identify Genuine Swarovski Crystals

According to wikipedia, Swarovski is the luxury brand name for the range of precision-cut lead crystal glass and related products produced by companies owned by Swarovski AG of Feldmeilen, Switzerland.

It's named after a German glass cutter and jeweller Daniel Swarovski. He was the one who invented the machine to give perfect precise cuts to crystals in 1892, since then, Swarovski crystals have been the most sought after crystal by jewelry designers. They are known for their sparkle and brilliance. They are second to none in quality and craftmanship.

Now, the big question is, how do we know if a Swarovski is the genuine or not? I used to frequent a Bead shop somewhere in Quiapo when I was still active with my Beading business. They sell, well not actually fake ones, they call it Class A swarovski in different colors and sizes. You'll hardly find any difference but when you look closer, you'll know which is which. Yah know, a real Swarovski will outshine a crystal that is not a genuine. They sparkle more.

Here are some tips to help you find the real ones from fakes.

1. Swarovski have no bubbles inside. If you see bubbles, that's paper roses - just an imitation of the real thing LOL.
2. The Swarovski finish crystals have a smooth uniform coating: there are no swirl marks
3. Swarovski crystals are perfectly uniform - same height, slope and width. No irregularity in shapes. The ends with be smooth. Each one looking just like the other in its size.

SO the next time you buy a Swarovski bracelet in Divisoria, Quiapo, Greenhills and St. Francis, make sure you check it first. They can be very pricey, make sure you end up with the genuine and authentic item.

I'll be glad of this helps! Enjoy!
